Michael R. Kerin received his law degree from Quinnipiac University School of Law, Summa Cum Laude, after receiving his M.A. in English from Middlebury College in Middlebury, VT, his M.F.A. in creative writing from American University, in Washington, D.C. and his B.A. in English from Vassar College, in Poughkeepsie, NY.

Really Dad?
Mike Kerin is a lawyer in Milford, and his daughter, Michaela, is a recent graduate from Quinnipiac University School of Law. The father–daughter duo once penned a lively column together in which they would bicker and banter about boys, curfews, homework, school stress, dress codes, and a host of other issues that represent the jagged edges of adolescence which they must navigate every day, sometimes with humor, sometimes with sarcasm, always with love.

The CBA’s Workers’ Compensation Certification Program
demonstrated that no less than twenty-five percent of their total practice has been in the area of workers’ compensation law;
engaged in the practice of law in Connecticut for at least 5 years and been a member in good standing of each bar in which the attorney is admitted;
maintained a malpractice policy with minimum limits of $300,000 per occurrence;
have a satisfactory disciplinary and malpractice history;
participated in a minimum of thirty-six hours of continuing legal education activities in the area of workers’ compensation law in the three years prior to filing the application;
have a minimum of five references from other attorneys knowledgeable regarding the applicant’s practice and competence; and
have passed a one-day written examination.
